Woodbridge, New Jersey–The Barron Arts Center presents “Liberated Strings: The Guitar in Art” The exhibit runs July 22-August 21, 2016. Join us for an opening reception July 22, 2016 from 7:30-9:30pm.
This show examines the varied ways art can be born from a centralized theme, namely the guitar. Artists were asked to use the guitar however they saw fit in order to fully express their artistic message. Both 2D & 3D works will be exhibited. The exhibition includes a wealth of artworks from celebrated area artists that demonstrate the guitar’s influential and timeless significance, both visually and musically.

About the NJ Guitar: Experiences in Music & Art series
NJ Guitar: Experiences in Music & Art is a predominantly concert based arts series focusing on the tradition of NJ guitar musicians, The series is sponsored by The Woodbridge Township Cultural Arts Commission with the support of Mayor John McCormac.
Grant funding has been provided by the Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission, Middlesex County Board of Chosen Freeholders through a grant provided by New Jersey State Council on the Arts, a division of the Department of State
The Barron Arts Center is located at 582 Rahway Avenue in Woodbridge, NJ.
Gallery hours (when exhibiting) are Monday thru Friday 11 a.m.-4 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 2 p.m.-4 p.m.
The exhibition is sponsored by The Woodbridge Township Cultural Arts Commission chaired by Dr. Dolores Capraro Gioffre with support from Mayor John E. McCormac
